Anshika Kataria was born in the city of Nawabs, Lucknow on 22nd January, 2002 to Mr. Ajay Kumar Kataria and Mrs. Rachana Kataria. She has an elder brother, Mr. Akash Kataria. She began learning Kathak at the age of 3.5 years at Rashtriya Kathak Sansthan, Lucknow.During that time, she was groomed under Smt. Archana SnigdhaBajpai, Shree Vikas Pandey and Smt. Smriti Mishra,Dr. Manisha Mishra and Guru Dr. Akanksha Srivastava respectively in that institute.
Having completed 10 years of training with Visharad and Nipunfrom Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapithin Kathak dance from Rashtriya Kathak Sansthan in 2014 and 2022 respectively.Along with that, she also graduated from National PG College, Lucknow in 2023.
She further enhanced her knowledge in other fields of music and completed Visharad, 1st Division with Distinction from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapith, Lucknow in the field of Tabla and Classical Vocal in 2023 under Mr. Debasish Talukdar, who is a Music Scholar, Author, Tabla player and Classical Vocalist from Lucknow and Banaras Gharana.
Along with that, she also gained the knowledge of a South Indian Classical dance form, Bharatnatyam under Miss Siza Roy and later on, completed Visharad, 1st Division with Distinction from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapith, Lucknow under Guru Syed Shamshu rRehman (Naved Sir), the senior disciple of Padma Vibhushan, Guru Saroja Vaidyanathan.
