Anshika Kataria, the young, passionate Kathak Dancer belonging to the Lucknow Gharana of Kathak dancer is known for her intricate 'Footwork'particularly her mastery of tatkar and tukras, and command over Laya, Taal and Padhant. She began learning Kathak at the age of 3.5 years at Rashtriya Kathak Sansthan, Lucknow. Growing up, she was inspired by Guru Dr. Akanksha Srivastava and is groomed by her under Guru-Shishya Parampara till now and has developed a deep understanding of the expressive nuances of Kathak.
Along with that, she also expanded her knowledge of Kathak dance from the pilgrimage of Hindustani Classical Music, Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Lucknow, completing Parangat in 2020 and Masters of Performing Arts (MPA) in 2025 under Pt. Ram Mohan Maharaj, the seventh generation of Kalka-Bindadin Gharana or Lucknow Gharana of Kathak dance and Dr. Ruchi Khare, Kathak exponent of Lucknow and Jaipur Gharana.
Anshika aspires to continue pushing the boundaries of Kathak while sharing her passion for the dance form through teaching and performance.
